  1  1    Amend House File 667 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 28, by inserting after line 16 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "   .  The department shall implement the
  1  5 elimination of hospital crossover claims for dually
  1  6 eligible federal Medicare and medical assistance
  1  7 program beneficiaries for hospitals licensed under
  1  8 chapter 135B, only if approval of a medical assistance
  1  9 state plan amendment is received from the centers for
  1 10 Medicare and Medicaid services of the United States
  1 11 department of health and human services that protects
  1 12 hospitals from financial losses specifically due to
  1 13 the hospital crossover claims process under the
  1 14 medical assistance program or the Medicare cost
  1 15 reports."
