1 4 "Sec. . Section 280.14, Code 2003, is amended
1 5 to read as follows:
1 6 280.14 SCHOOL REQUIREMENTS – ADMINISTRATION.
1 7 1. The board or governing authority of each school
1 8 or school district subject to the provisions of this
1 9 chapter shall establish and maintain adequate
1 10 administration, school staffing, personnel assignment
1 11 policies, teacher qualifications, certification
1 12 requirements, facilities, equipment, grounds,
1 13 graduation requirements, instructional requirements,
1 14 instructional materials, maintenance procedures and
1 15 policies on extracurricular activities. In addition
1 16 the board or governing authority of each school or
1 17 school district shall provide such principals as it
1 18 finds necessary to provide effective supervision and
1 19 administration for each school and its faculty and
1 20 student body.
1 21 2. An individual who is employed or contracted as
1 22 a superintendent by a school or school district may
1 23 also serve as an elementary or secondary principal in
1 24 the same school or school district."
