4BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:
1 Section 1. IOWA FINANCE AUTHORITY — HOME OWNERSHIP
2ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR ELIGIBLE SERVICE MEMBERS — FY
32023-2024. There is appropriated from the general fund of
4the state to the Iowa finance authority for the fiscal year
5beginning July 1, 2023, and ending June 30, 2024, the following
6amount, or so much thereof as is necessary, to be used for the
7purposes designated:
8For the home ownership assistance program for eligible
9service members established under section 16.54:

11EXPLANATION
12The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with
13the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly.
14This bill appropriates $500,000 from the general fund of the
15state for FY 2023-2024 to the Iowa finance authority for the
16home ownership assistance program for eligible service members.
