Member of Council of State Governments Education Committee, Uni Vocis Board of Trustees, UNI College of Education Advisory Committee. Honorary member of Delta Kappa Gamma Xi. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church, participating in God’s Squad.

Born in 1947 in Chicago, Illinois. Raised in Littleton, Colorado, and Omaha, Nebraska. Resides in Mason City.
