H.F. 2009 Section 1. Section 461A.3, Code 2024, is amended by adding 1 the following new subsection: 2 NEW SUBSECTION . 3. The commission shall conduct an 3 annual survey of state parks identifying accessible trails 4 and features for persons with disabilities. The results of 5 the annual survey shall be made available on the department’s 6 internet site for the public to use as a resource. 7 EXPLANATION 8 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 9 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 10 This bill requires the natural resource commission to 11 conduct an annual survey of state parks identifying trails and 12 features that are accessible for persons with disabilities. 13 The results of the annual survey shall be made available on the 14 department’s internet site for the public to use as a resource. 15 -1- LSB 5224YH (2) 90 lh/js 1/ 1
