Section
1.
Section
598.26,
subsection
2,
Code
2020,
is
1
amended
to
read
as
follows:

2.
The
court
shall,
in
the
absence
of
objection
by
another
3
party,
grant
a
motion
by
a
party
to
require
the
sealing
of
an
4
answer
to
an
interrogatory
or
of
a
financial
statement
filed
5
pursuant
to
section
598.13
.
The
court
may
in
its
discretion
6
grant
a
motion
by
a
party
to
require
the
sealing
of
any
other
7
information
which
is
part
of
the
record
of
the
case
except
for
8
including
court
orders,
decrees
,
and
any
judgments.
If
the
9
court
grants
a
motion
to
require
the
sealing
of
information
in
10
the
case,
the
sealed
information
shall
not
thereafter
be
made
11
available
to
any
person
other
than
a
party
to
the
action
or
a
12
party’s
attorney
except
upon
order
of
the
court
for
good
cause
13
shown.

This
bill
provides
that
in
a
case
of
marriage
dissolution,

a
court
may
in
its
discretion
grant
a
motion
to
a
party
to
19
require
the
sealing
of
any
other
information
which
is
part
of
20
the
record
of
the
case
including
court
orders,
decrees,
and
21
any
judgments.
Current
law
states
that
the
court
may
grant
22
a
motion
to
seal
any
other
information
which
is
part
of
the
23
record
of
the
case
except
for
court
orders,
decrees,
and
any
24
judgments.
