WHEREAS,
Senator
Charles
Schneider
was
first
elected

to
the
Senate
in
2012
representing
District
22
serving

Polk
and
Dallas
counties,
and
was
selected
as
President
5
of
the
Senate
in
2018;
and
6
WHEREAS,
through
his
employment
as
counsel
for
7
Principal
Financial
Group
and
service
as
West
Des
8
Moines
City
Councilman,
Senator
Schneider
brought
9
extensive
knowledge
and
experience
in
business,
local
10
government,
and
the
law
to
the
Senate;
and
11
WHEREAS,
during
his
time
in
the
Senate,
Senator
12
Schneider
has
championed
fiscal
responsibility
in
the
13
state
budget,
significant
income
and
property
tax
14
reform,
civil
asset
forfeiture
reform,
and
justice
for
15
victims
of
domestic
abuse;
and

WHEREAS,
during
his
Senate
tenure,
Senator
Schneider

has
served
on
the
Appropriations

Economic

Government

RESOLVED
BY
THE
SENATE,
That
the
Senate
honors

Senator
Charles
Schneider
for
his
eight
years
of
public

service
in
the
Senate
and
wishes
him
all
the
best
in

the
years
to
come.
