Tree
stands
for
hunting
1
deer
on
public
land
——
identification
——
prohibition.

1.
A
person
shall
not
place
a
tree
stand
for
hunting
deer
3
on
public
land
unless
the
stand
is
affixed
with
and
exhibits
a
4
metal
plate
that
plainly
shows
the
hunting
license
number
of
5
the
owner
of
the
stand.
The
metal
plate
shall
be
affixed
on
6
the
front
of
the
foot
platform
of
the
stand
on
the
third
step
7
up
from
the
ground.
A
person
who
fails
to
properly
identify
8
a
tree
stand
placed
on
public
land
belonging
to
the
person
is
9
subject
to
a
scheduled
fine
under
section
805.8B,
subsection
10
3,
paragraph
“b”
.

2.
An
owner
of
a
tree
stand
placed
on
public
land
shall
not
12
be
held
liable
for
damage
to
personal
property
or
an
injury
13
resulting
from
another
person’s
use
of
the
tree
stand.

3.
The
natural
resource
commission
shall
adopt
rules
15
pursuant
to
chapter
17A
to
implement
this
section.

bill
relates
to
the
identification
and
use
of
tree

deer
placed
on
public
land.

The
bill
requires
that
a
stand
placed
on
public
land
for

hunting
deer
be
affixed
with
and
exhibit
a
metal
plate
that
29
plainly
shows
the
hunting
license
number
of
the
owner
of
the
30
stand.
The
metal
plate
must
be
affixed
on
the
front
of
the
foot
31
platform
of
the
stand
on
the
third
step
up
from
the
ground.
An
32
owner
who
does
not
