Youth
pheasant
hunting.
1
1.
The
commission
shall
establish
a
youth
pheasant
hunting
2
season
for
residents
who
are
fifteen
years
of
age
or
younger
3
that
shall
begin
on
the
Saturday
preceding
the
first
day
of
4
the
regular
pheasant
season
established
by
the
commission
by
5
rule
and
shall
end
on
the
Wednesday
preceding
the
first
day
6
of
the
regular
pheasant
season,
all
days
inclusive.
A
youth
7
hunter
must
be
accompanied
by
an
adult
who
is
at
least
eighteen
8
years
of
age.
A
youth
hunter
shall
not
be
required
to
obtain
a
9
hunting
license
or
habitat
stamp,
however
an
adult
accompanying
10
a
youth
hunter
must
have
a
valid
hunting
license
and
habitat
11
stamp
if
normally
required
to
have
such
a
license
or
stamp
to
12
hunt.
A
youth
hunter
shall
be
authorized
to
take
pheasants,
13
quail,
and
partridges
during
the
youth
pheasant
hunting
season.

Only
a
youth
hunter
may
take
pheasants,
quail,
and
partridges
15
when
hunting
pursuant
to
this
section.

The
youth
pheasant
hunting
season
shall
include
the
17
following
bag
and
possession
limits:
18
a.
For
pheasant
roosters,
the
daily
bag
limit
is
three
birds
19
and
the
possession
limit
is
twelve
birds.

b.
For
bobwhite
quails,
the
daily
bag
limit
is
eight
birds
21
and
the
possession
limit
is
sixteen
birds.

c.
For
gray
partridges,
the
daily
bag
limit
is
eight
birds
23
and
the
possession
limit
is
sixteen
birds.

The
inclusion
of
this

This
bill
relates
to
youth
pheasant
hunting.
The
bill

requires
the
commission
to
establish
a
youth
pheasant
hunting

season
for
residents
who
are
15
years
of
age
or
younger
that

shall
begin
on
the
Saturday
preceding
the
first
day
of
the

regular
pheasant
season
established
by
the
commission
by
rule

and
shall
end
on
the

The
bill

authorizes
a
youth
hunting
during
the

pheasant
hunting

take

quails,
and

The
bill

requires
the
youth
to
be
accompanied
by
a
licensed
adult
who

is
at
least

years
of
age
and
who
has
a
license
and
habitat

stamp,
if
normally
required,
but
only
the
youth
may
take

pheasants,
quails,
and
partridges
when
hunting
pursuant
to
the

bill.
The
bill
establishes
bag
limits
for
pheasant
roosters,

bobwhite
quails,
and
gray
partridges.
7
A
person
who
violates
a
provision
of
the
bill
commits
a
8
scheduled
violation
punishable
by
a
fine
dependent
on
the
9
violation.
