H.F. 446 Section 1. Section 124.401, subsection 4, Code 2019, is 1 amended by adding the following new paragraph: 2 NEW PARAGRAPH . s. Ophthalmic antibiotic eyedrops or 3 ointments, and antihistamines, used in the treatment of 4 conjunctivitis. 5 EXPLANATION 6 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 7 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 8 This bill relates to controlled substances and provides 9 penalties. 10 The bill provides that it is unlawful for a person to possess 11 ophthalmic antibiotic eyedrops or ointments, or antihistamines, 12 used in the treatment of conjunctivitis, with the intent that 13 the product be used to manufacture any controlled substance. 14 Violation of the subsection is a class “D” felony.
