H.F. 2314 Section 1. Section 123.126A, Code 2020, is amended to read 1 as follows: 2 123.126A Canned cocktails —— applicability —— manufacture . 3 1. Unless otherwise provided by this chapter , the 4 provisions of this chapter applicable to beer shall also apply 5 to canned cocktails. 6 2. Notwithstanding any provision of this chapter to the 7 contrary, a manufacturer of beer may obtain and possess 8 alcoholic liquor from the division for the purpose of 9 manufacturing canned cocktails. 10 Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Act, being deemed of immediate 11 importance, takes effect upon enactment. 12 EXPLANATION 13 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 14 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 15 This bill allows a manufacturer of beer to obtain and possess 16 alcoholic liquor for the purpose of manufacturing canned 17 cocktails. 18 The bill takes effect upon enactment. 19 -1- LSB 5918HV (1) 88 ec/rn 1/ 1
