H.F. _____ Section 1. Section 99D.9, subsection 6, paragraph b, Code 1 2018, is amended to read as follows: 2 b. A licensee shall not permit a financial institution, 3 vendor, or other person to dispense cash or credit through an 4 electronic or mechanical device including but not limited to a 5 satellite terminal as defined in section 527.2 , that is located 6 in the wagering area. 7 Sec. 2. Section 99D.9, subsection 6, paragraph c, Code 2018, 8 is amended by striking the paragraph. 9 Sec. 3. Section 99F.7, subsection 10, paragraph b, Code 10 2018, is amended to read as follows: 11 b. A licensee shall not permit a financial institution, 12 vendor, or other person to dispense cash or credit through an 13 electronic or mechanical device including but not limited to 14 a satellite terminal, as defined in section 527.2 , that is 15 located on the gaming floor. 16 Sec. 4. Section 99F.7, subsection 10, paragraph c, Code 17 2018, is amended by striking the paragraph. 18 EXPLANATION 19 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 20 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 21 This bill eliminates the prohibition against allowing a 22 person to utilize an electronic or mechanical device to receive 23 cash that is located in the wagering area or on the gaming 24 floor of a licensed pari-mutuel wagering or gambling game 25 facility. 26 The bill also eliminates the requirement that a licensed 27 pari-mutuel wagering or gambling game facility, when 28 technologically feasible, shall ensure that a person may 29 voluntarily bar themselves from access to receive cash or 30 credit on the wagering area or on the gaming floor of the 31 licensed facility. 32 -1- LSB 5831YC (4) 87 ec/rn 1/ 1
