H.F. 2344 Section 1. Section 99D.9, subsection 6, paragraph b, Code 1 2018, is amended to read as follows: 2 b. A licensee shall not permit a financial institution, 3 vendor, or other person to dispense cash or credit through an 4 electronic or mechanical device including but not limited to a 5 satellite terminal as defined in section 527.2 , that is located 6 in the wagering area. 7 Sec. 2. Section 99F.7, subsection 10, paragraph b, Code 8 2018, is amended to read as follows: 9 b. A licensee shall not permit a financial institution, 10 vendor, or other person to dispense cash or credit through an 11 electronic or mechanical device including but not limited to 12 a satellite terminal, as defined in section 527.2 , that is 13 located on the gaming floor. 14 EXPLANATION 15 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 16 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 17 This bill eliminates the prohibition against allowing a 18 person to utilize an electronic or mechanical device to receive 19 cash that is located in the wagering area or on the gaming 20 floor of a licensed pari-mutuel wagering or gambling game 21 facility. 22 -1- LSB 5831HV (2) 87 ec/rn 1/ 1
