S.F. 2101 Section 1. 2015 Iowa Acts, chapter 137, section 29, 1 subsection 1, is amended by adding the following new paragraph: 2 NEW PARAGRAPH . t. Beginning January 1, 2016, the 3 reimbursement rates for providers of supported employment under 4 the medical assistance program shall be increased by 20 percent 5 over the rates in effect on June 30, 2015. 6 Sec. 2. 2015 Iowa Acts, chapter 137, section 149, subsection 7 1, is amended by adding the following new paragraph: 8 NEW PARAGRAPH . t. For the fiscal year beginning July 9 1, 2016, the reimbursement rates for providers of supported 10 employment under the medical assistance program shall remain at 11 the rates in effect on June 30, 2016. 12 Sec. 3. EFFECTIVE UPON ENACTMENT. This Act, being deemed of 13 immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment. 14 Sec. 4. RETROACTIVE APPLICABILITY. This Act applies 15 retroactively to July 1, 2015. 16 EXPLANATION 17 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 18 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 19 This bill provides for an increase in the reimbursement 20 rates for providers of supported employment under the medical 21 assistance program for FY 2015-2016, of 20 percent over the 22 rates in effect on June 30, 2015. The bill also provides that 23 these reimbursement rates for FY 2016-2017 would remain at the 24 increased rates. 25 The bill takes effect upon enactment and is retroactively 26 applicable to July 1, 2015. 27 -1- LSB 5599SV (1) 86 pf/rn 1/ 1
