1.
VERIFICATION
OF
SOCIAL
SECURITY
NUMBERS

DEPARTMENT
OF
HUMAN
SERVICES
PUBLIC
PROGRAMS.
The
department
2
of
human
services
shall
adopt
rules
to
require
that
any
3
program
supported
by
public
funds
under
the
department
of
human
4
services
shall
require
verification
by
state
or
local
staff,
5
as
applicable,
of
the
social
security
number
of
any
applicant
6
for
program
services.
The
department
shall
incorporate
the
7
verification
requirement
into
all
application
processes
in
the
8
most
cost-effective
manner.

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
requires
the
department
of
human
services
to
adopt

the
