H.F. 2103 Section 1. Section 231C.3, Code 2016, is amended by adding 1 the following new subsection: 2 NEW SUBSECTION . 5A. An assisted living program that is 3 licensed and inspected as a food establishment pursuant to 4 chapter 137F shall not be required to obtain an additional 5 license or submit to additional inspection in order to prepare 6 meals to be delivered off-site by another entity. 7 EXPLANATION 8 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 9 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 10 This bill provides that assisted living programs that are 11 licensed and inspected as a food establishment pursuant to Code 12 chapter 137F do not need to hold another license or submit to 13 additional inspection in order to prepare meals to be delivered 14 off-site by another entity. 15 -1- LSB 5287YH (3) 86 tr/nh 1/ 1
