is
amended
to
read
as
follows:

c.
Families
with
an
income
of
more
than
one
hundred
percent

but
not
more
than
one
hundred
forty-five
eighty-five
percent

of
the
federal
poverty
level
whose
members,
for
at
least
5
twenty-eight
hours
per
week
in
the
aggregate,
are
employed

or
are
participating
at
a
satisfactory
level
in
an
approved
7
training
program
or
educational
program.

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
relates
to
state
child
care
assistance
program
12
eligibility
and
waiting
list
guidelines.

The
state
child
care
assistance
program
is
administered
by
14
the
department
of
human
services.
Based
upon
the
availability
15
of
the
funding
appropriated
for
state
child
care
assistance
16
for
a
fiscal
year,
the
department
establishes
waiting
lists
17
for
state
child
care
assistance
in
descending
order
of
18
prioritization.
19
Under
current
law,
one
of
the
waiting
list
requirements
20
relates
to
families
with
an
income
of
more
than
100
percent
but
21
not
more
than
145
percent
of
the
federal
poverty
level
whose
22
members,
for
at
least
28
hours
per
week
in
the
aggregate,
are
23
employed
or
are
participating
at
a
satisfactory
level
in
an
24
approved
training
program
or
educational
program.
The
bill
25
increases
this
waiting
list
income
eligibility
limit
from
145
26
percent
to
185
percent.
