as

The
state
hourly
wage

be

as
of

2007,

$7.25
as
of
January
1,
2008
,
$7.50
as
of

January
1,
2012,
and
$8.00
as
of
July
1,
2012
.
The
state
hourly

wage,
including
the
state
hourly
wage
for
the
first
ninety

calendar
days
of
employment
provided
in
paragraph
“d”
,
shall

be
increased
annually
on
July
1,
beginning
July
1,
2013,
by

the
same
percentage
as
the
cost-of-living
increase
in
federal

social
security
benefits
authorized
during
the
previous
state

fiscal
year
by
the
federal
social
security
administration

pursuant
to
section
215
of
the
federal
Social
Security
Act,

415.

EXPLANATION
14
This
bill
increases
the
state
minimum
hourly
wage
to
$7.50
as
15
of
January
1,
2012,
and
$8.00
as
of
July
1,
2012.
The
bill
also
16
increases
the
state
minimum
hourly
wage,
including
the
minimum
17
hourly
wage
established
for
employees
employed
for
less
than
90
18
days,
annually
on
July
1,
beginning
July
1,
2013,
by
the
same
19
percentage
as
the
cost-of-living
increase
in
social
security
20
benefits
effective
as
of
the
previous
December,
as
authorized
21
by
the
federal
social
security
administration.
