S.F. 2049 Section 1. Section 99B.12A, unnumbered paragraph 1, Code 1 2009, is amended to read as follows: 2 An organization that is exempt from federal income taxes 3 under section 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), 501(c)(5), 501(c)(6), 4 501(c)(7), 501(c)(8), 501(c)(10), or 501(c)(19) of the Internal 5 Revenue Code as defined in section 422.3 , A person shall be 6 authorized to conduct a bingo occasion without a license as 7 otherwise required by this chapter if all of the following 8 requirements are met: 9 EXPLANATION 10 This bill authorizes any person to conduct a bingo occasion 11 without a license if participants are not charged to enter the 12 premises where bingo is conducted, participants are not charged 13 to play bingo, any prize awarded is donated, and the bingo 14 occasion is conducted as an activity and not for fund raising 15 purposes.
