H.F. 2395 Section 1. MARKET FACTOR TEACHER INCENTIVES —— FUNDS 1 TRANSFER. Notwithstanding any provisions to the contrary, any 2 remaining allocations paid to a school district for market 3 factor teacher incentives pursuant to section 284.11, Code 4 Supplement 2007, prior to the school budget year beginning July 5 1, 2009, and which are maintained in a separate listing within 6 a school district’s budget shall be transferred by the district 7 into the school district’s general fund to be used for general 8 fund purposes beginning with school budget years beginning on 9 or after July 1, 2009. 10 Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE UPON ENACTMENT. This Act, being deemed of 11 immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment. 12 EXPLANATION 13 This bill allows a school district with any remaining 14 funds in its budget that were only authorized to be spent for 15 market factor teacher incentives to transfer the funds to the 16 district’s general fund and use the funds for general fund 17 purposes beginning with school budget years beginning on or 18 after July 1, 2009. 19 The bill is effective upon enactment. 20 -1- LSB 5708YH (6) 83 ak/sc 1/ 1
