  1 15 A Resolution to honor the service of the 132nd Fighter
  1 16    Wing of the Iowa Air National Guard.
  1 17    WHEREAS, the motto of the 132nd Fighter Wing of the
  1 18 Iowa Air National Guard is "Excellence in All We Do";
  1 19 and
  1 20    WHEREAS, dedication to that motto has motivated the
  1 21 members of the 132nd Fighter Wing to devote themselves
  1 22 to achieving an excellent rating in their Air Combat
  1 23 Command Operational Readiness Inspection; and
  1 24    WHEREAS, that dedication has now resulted in an
  1 25 excellent rating in the four major areas of the
  1 26 Operational Readiness Inspection:  initial response,
  1 27 employment, support, and ability to survive and
  1 28 operate; and
  1 29    WHEREAS, in 73 percent of the 154 areas rated the
  1 30 132nd Fighter Wing either excellent or outstanding;
  2  1 and
  2  2    WHEREAS, Major General G. Ron Dardis, Adjutant
  2  3 General for the Iowa National Guard, stated this was
  2  4 the best Operational Readiness Inspection he had ever
  2  5 seen at Volk Field; and
  2  6    WHEREAS, Lieutenant General Daniel James, III,
  2  7 Director of the Iowa Air National Guard, stated that
  2  8 the 132nd Fighter Wing has "set the standard" for the
  2  9 Operational Readiness Inspection; and
  2 10    WHEREAS, that rating demonstrates that the 132nd
  2 11 Fighter Wing stands ready to deploy and ready to
  2 12 fight, as they previously demonstrated during
  2 13 operational deployments between 1996 and 2002
  2 14 supporting Operation Provide Comfort and Operations
  2 15 Northern/Southern Watch over Iraq; NOW THEREFORE,
  2 16    BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES,
  2 17 That the House of Representatives, on behalf of all
  2 18 Iowans, congratulates and thanks the men and women of
  2 19 the 132nd Fighter Wing who stand ready to place
  2 20 themselves in harm's way to protect the United States
  2 21 of America.
