  1 An Act making appropriations to the community attraction and
  2    tourism fund.
  3 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:

  1  1    Section 1.  There is appropriated from the tax=exempt bond
  1  2 proceeds restricted capital funds account of the tobacco
  1  3 settlement trust fund to the office of the treasurer of state
  1  4 for the fiscal period beginning July 1, 2004, and ending June
  1  5 30, 2006, the following amounts to be deposited in the
  1  6 community attraction and tourism fund created in section
  1  7 15F.204:
  1  8 FY 2004=2005 ..................................... $ 12,500,000
  1  9 FY 2005=2006 ..................................... $ 12,500,000
  1 10    Payment of moneys from the appropriations in this section
  1 11 shall be made in a manner that does not adversely affect the
  1 12 tax=exempt status of any outstanding bonds issued by the
  1 13 tobacco settlement authority.
  1 14                           EXPLANATION
  1 15    This bill relates to the community attraction and tourism
  1 16 fund administered by the vision Iowa board.
  1 17    The bill appropriates moneys from the tax=exempt bond
  1 18 proceeds restricted capital funds account of the tobacco
  1 19 settlement trust fund to the office of the treasurer of state
  1 20 for deposit in the community attraction and tourism fund.  The
  1 21 bill appropriates $12.5 million for both FY 2004=2005 and FY
  1 22 2005=2006.  The bill requires that payment of moneys from the
  1 23 appropriations shall be made in a manner that does not
  1 24 adversely affect the tax=exempt status of any outstanding
  1 25 bonds issued by the tobacco settlement authority.
