Mike, I would not be opposed to the idea of a department being audited by a CPA ifand only if, that department was to have to pay for said audit out of its own budget.I would think that on occasion the state auditor would wish to employee professionalauditors, and in that case payment should come from the auditors budget. Also I have heard that the state is attempting to restrict the information that the auditor can askfor. This seems very bad governance, as in trying to put the fox in charge of the henhouse. Please do the common sense thing and do not send SF2311 on in its current form.Happy Early Spring!Mary Hoffman

I am OPPOSED to this bill! This is another example of the governor trying to control (and remove) any checks and balance of our government. There is a reason we have a state auditorI'm sure if our auditor was a Republican she would be able to manipulate the auditor to her every whim! But, because he is a Democrat she wants him to be a token servant of the state. IF you approve this bill, you will be encouraging the governor to continue her secretly do things. IF you approve this bill, you need to amend to require the audit to be then audited by the ELECTED official who is responsible for making sure all is on the upandup! Do you not see a pattern here? It is a "GOVERNOR's BILL." She ONLY propoases bills that benefit her and her agenda!!!
