Mike, I would not be opposed to the idea of a department being audited by a CPA ifand only if, that department was to have to pay for said audit out of its own budget.I would think that on occasion the state auditor would wish to employee professionalauditors, and in that case payment should come from the auditors budget. Also I have heard that the state is attempting to restrict the information that the auditor can askfor. This seems very bad governance, as in trying to put the fox in charge of the henhouse.
